Big Baby DRAM's music might not strike fans as the stuff of jock jams or pregame pump-ups—later on all, he just released a three-vocal Christmas EP (#1HappyHoliday) during which he shows off his flair for balladry over "The Christmas Vocal," among other festive classics. But fans of DRAM, similar Kyrie Irving and the Seattle Seahawks—whom he spoke about with Bleacher Report earlier this month—dig the eclectic sound that's fabricated songs similar "Broccoli" and "Cha Cha" hits.

Gearing up for his next album subsequently spending the summertime opening for Kendrick Lamar in arenas around the land (the European leg kicks off early adjacent year), DRAM stopped by the B/R function in New York to talk nearly his sports playing days, the shoes he tin't live without and what it's like to be coached past Pete Carroll.

Bleacher Report: Did you play sports much growing up?

DRAM: Nope. I did one season of football, and I didn't practice s--t; I only played during the boot returns. I played basketball for i season on the Hampton Cavaliers, and in the whole season, I scored four points. But they loved me—I was like, the garbage n---a that was just smiling and southward--t. And then the crowd would be trying to rev me up and southward--t. Class clown of the basketball team.

B/R: What were the teams y'all loved as a kid?

DRAM: I grew up beingness a fan of the stars: Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders...LaDainian Tomlinson! When he was running for the Chargers, he was going off. T.O. (Terrell Owens), [Randy] Moss—your donkey got Moss'd, you feel me? Latrell Sprewell! He was ane of the starting time to really mogulize, I feel. B/R: And so how would you sum up your feel beingness coached by Pete Carroll?

DRAM: It was terrible because he told me to practise one matter, and he did the accented other thing [laughs]. DRAM: I watch the highlights! I would love to actually become to an NFL game and cheque it out. I've been to a Clippers game, in a skybox. They absolutely slaughtered the opposition. B/R: I heard you've been following the Timberwolves a bit, too.

DRAM: They're going in! That'southward a good team. They've got a squad this twelvemonth. Every team has a squad, but it's all about how the chemical science is, how they work with each other. Sometimes it comes crashing downward, simply in this case I think they're doing very well. I've been checking in. Whenever I play [NBA] 2K, I'm only playing with them.

B/R: Which athlete do you identify with nearly?

B/R: What are your get-to touring shoes?

B/R: What pair of shoes are you never going to wearable?

DRAM: They just have a lot going on! I'm just maxim, new sneakers nowadays have a lot going on.

B/R: Take you lot met many athletes who are fans of your music?

DRAM: During All-Star calendar week, The Roots were playing and they wanted me to come up out during their set up. Simply it wasn't tightly arranged, and so it didn't quite piece of work out.
